Adapting To Climate Change - 2010 programme of training events

Following on from the successful ‘Projections in Practice’ events which supported the launch of the UK Climate Projections 09 (UKCP09) and the UK Climate Impacts Programme (UKCIP), there is now a new programme of training events available.

UKCIP was set up in 1997 to help businesses and organisations to adapt to our changing climate by addressing the risks, impacts and opportunities resulting from the changes.

UKCP09 is the 5th generation of climate information for the UK. It provides potential projections of climate change allowing for current uncertainty. A user interface has been provided to facilitate access to the projections. A programme of basic and intermediate user interface training will be running from March until the end of the year in Oxford where UKCIP is based.

Online learning is available with free e-learning courses, podcasts and communities of practice where you can discuss issues surrounding adapting to climate change.

Also on offer is a programme of free web based seminars (webinars) in which presenters and participants will be able to see, hear and interact with each other in a variety of ways.
