Strengthening the ECA’s European initiatives.

Following the unanimous wish of the ECA Annual General Meeting, held in October 2009, that the ECA continues its Europe focused work, the Chairman is visiting Ostend this week to explore opportunities for partnership in the fields of intergenerational learning and environmental sustainability.

Bernard Godding will join over 300 other delegates at the Cooperation Fair for the INTERREG IVA 2 Mers Seas Zeeën Cross-border Cooperation Programme which takes place on the 19th and 20th October 2009.

Attendance at the Fair will give access to key actors in Northern France, Belgium and the Netherlands for whom the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) presents a major opportunity for community development and transnational collaboration.

The ECA is particularly interested in building on their successful work of the Teddy Bear project and Every Action Counts and its leading role in Informal Adult Learning for the community sector.
