The ECA held its annual conference and AGM on Saturday 17th October at The Resource Centre, London.

Attended by both members and non-members the conference took place during the Learning Revolution Festival and showcased the work that the Association has been involved in during the last year.

Featured speakers highlighted the real benefits that informal adult learning brings by discussing project work and outcomes on such initiatives as Every Action Counts, the Leadership & Governance Programme, Flexi-Path, Better Together and the Campaigning is OK!.

To launch our 90th anniversary year, Dr Mark Freeman, Senior Economic and Social History Lecturer from the University of Glasgow, gave a well received presentation on the history of the ECA. Mark has recently researched the ECA archive in the period that is leading to the ECA’s Anniversary celebrations in 2010.

The Annual General Meeting saw Bernard Godding re-elected as Chair of the Association.
