Family Learning for Sustainable Living
The Trustees of the National ECA and a local Norwich-based charity have joined forces to identify and develop models of good practice in learning the "soft" sciences involved in young families' daily living.
A vacancy exists for an experienced and well-qualified adult/family learning specialist to set up and run this project which will draw on the successful pilot of Every Action Counts and focus on the particular needs and interests of parents with young children.
The person appointed will be:
* A self-starter with extensive experience in adult/family learning, in particular parent education.
* Hold a recognised qualification related to the project.
* Have the ability to engage with young families and practitioners from a wide field of interests and expertise.
This is not an academic research project; it will be entirely focused on practical, deliverable outcomes. None the less, it will take account of current research and relevant statistical indicators.
The target areas for project work will be some of the most disadvantaged wards in the East of England region.
This is a full time position, initially on a 12 month contract.
Salary: £25,000-£30,000 dependant on experience.
