FE Guild Consultation

Dates and locations for consultation events being held throughout February 2013.

The team responsible for developing the new FE Guild will be issuing a consultation document on February 1st 2013. The Guild will replace LSIS (Learning and Skills Improvement Service) which will cease to operate in August 2013.

Five events are being held throughout England during the consultation period to give you the opportunity to present your views on the Guild face-to-face. Each event is split into two sessions, one aimed at local authority providers and colleges and one at independent providers and the voluntary/third sector to allow for more focus on key issues for these areas. Participants are invited to attend the session that they feel is most relevant to them or which matches diary commitments. There will be approximately 30 places at each of the sessions. The dates and locations are: -

14 February London

18 February Bristol
19 February Birmingham
20 February Manchester
21 February York

In addition to these events, two further events have been planned which are specifically aimed at practitioners and middle managers. These will take place on 7th February in Manchester and 8th February in London.

If you would like to attend one of the events please visit http://www.feguild.info/ to find the booking form or email feguild@aoc.co.uk.

The deadline for consultation responses is 22nd February 2013.

Information from the formal consultation will be used to produce a costed implementation plan by the end of March.
