Project receives high evaluation score
The Flexi-Path project has now been evaluated by independent evaluators and received a score of 9 out of 10, 10 being outstanding.
The project which ran from January 2009 until September 2010 was funded by Leonardo, part of the European Commission’s Lifelong Learning Programme which aims to build a skilled workforce across Europe. It focused on developing a systematic approach to showing the degree level competences of senior adult educators within the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).
The ECA acted as the UK partner for this project and worked with adult education specialists from Estonia, Germany, Italy, Romania, Spain and Switzerland to develop the Flexi-Path Toolkit. The toolkit is aimed at adult education practitioners with substantial experience who are usually employed at management / leadership level. It gives users a chance to build a professional portfolio that reflects the competences they have gained throughout their career and highlights areas in which they may want to develop their skills. It is also suitable for use within organisations and teams as a means of reviewing overall strengths. The Toolkit can be downloaded free from the ECA website by clicking here. Alternatively contact the ECA Head Office for a hard copy by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or telephoning 08442 495594.
If you are interested in the ideas and theoretical background behind the project, ‘Flexible Pathways Towards Professionalisation, Senior Adult Educators in Europe’, written by the project partners is available from the ECA at the cost of £19 or £10 for ECA members. Please see our publications page for details.
